About VC

Welcome to Vermilion Catholic High School.  Established in 1967, Vermilion Catholic is the only Catholic high school located in Vermilion Parish.  Our theme for the year is, “One Faith, One Family, One School”.  We have a strong tradition of academic excellence and are proud of our family atmosphere at school

As you enter the doors of our school, you will see above the entrance “Enter To Learn Christ."  Our faculty and staff work hard to instill this into all of our students.  We have a rich Catholic tradition within the school, and the Catholic Faith is a very important part of our daily schedule.  It is what makes us different.  As you leave our school, you will see the phrase “Leave To Serve Christ.”  As our students leave us after graduation, we encourage them to take what they have learned within our walls and build on that foundation as they enter the world after high school.

Vermilion Catholic is proud of its rich tradition and has faith in the bright future ahead.  I am very proud of our school and all that we have to offer.  We encourage all of our alumni, parents, and friends to be involved in our mission of Catholic education.  I hope that you will visit our site often and that you will be an active member of “The VC Family.”

Shown above are Karley King, President of VCHS Student Council, & Hailey Vincent, Vice President of VCHS Student Council, holding up the flag that was recently presented to Vermilion Catholic for being accredited by SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools). Even though Vermilion Catholic is accredited by the state of Louisiana and by the Diocese of Lafayette, being accredited by SACS demonstrates our commitment to offer the best educational environment possible. It is a very important step in our pursuit of knowledge and continuous improvement. Please refer to the Academic section of the website to view our SACS document that offers a complete picture of the school's past, present, and future.
