Prof Felix Frederick Library & Media Center

On January 26, 2009, the Prof Felix Frederick Library and Media Center was officially opened. Cade Baudoin, Prof's great nephew, cut the ribbon. Sister Janet Leblanc of Mt. Carmel presented Cade with a Mt. Carmel afghan and Mt. Carmel cross, which was handmade using original window panes from the historic 50 year old building during its restoration.

In the library, Prof's jacket, Child of Carmel poem, Echoes of VC poem, and Eagle Fight Song are displayed on the wall. A plaque, containing pictures of Prof from May 30, 1928 to October 19, 2008 and a plaque displaying the names of those who contributed in Prof's memory, also hangs on the wall.

"Prof's Place," like the time he spent here, is a treasure to VC.

Thank you to all VCHS supporters of this event. Proceeds from the event will go towards purchasing an electronic card catalog system for the library.

Catholic School's Week Activities
On Monday, January 26, 2009, following the Catholic School's Week Mass with Mt. Carmel, the ribbon cutting of the renaming of the VCHS Library will take place. Pictured above is one of the benches that the VCHS Class of 1981 donated in memory of Prof Felix Frederick. The two benches are located at the entrance of the library.
