Enter to Learn Christ and Leave to Serve Christ are the words you will see over our doors as you enter and exit the halls of Vermilion Catholic. Our objective here is to reinforce the spiritual foundation laid by parents in their home as well as preparing young adult men and women to serve their church and community in the future. Preparation begins through our course studies in Apologetics, Christian Morality, Church History and Christian Vocations. Through the requirement of Apostolic and Spiritual Development Hours we actively engage our students in civic and religious activities. Our family like atmosphere provides an environment to help us obtain our goals for our school and our community.

St. Mary Magdalene Relic Visits Vermilion Catholic
Vermilion Catholic High School and Mt. Carmel Elementary School held a special joint Mass on Wednesday, November 3rd in the Vermilion Catholic Gym. At this Mass the relic of St. Mary Magdalene was present for students, faculty, staff, parents and friends to venerate. Students ages kindergarten through 12th grade were able to touch the glass case containing the relic, which is a piece of the saint's lower right leg. Many students were filled with joy as they lined up to view the relic. It is the first time a relic has ever visited the school. The gym was filled with approximately 800 people. Vermilion Catholic is the only Catholic school in the Diocese of Lafayette that the relic was taken to. For six weeks the relic will be on tour in the United States. Vermilion Catholic was honored to have had the relic in their school.
