Vermilion Catholic, a legacy of Mount Carmel in Abbeville, LA is now accepting applications for the position of a High School Math teacher (Dual Enrollment Certified) and a Middle School/High School Science teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. 

At Vermilion Catholic, we believe in educating the whole child through faith, academics, service, and leadership rooted in the Catholic tradition.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Flexibility, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and good time management are essential.
  • Well-developed communication skills (phone, email, written correspondence).
  • Use discretion and tact as required in a professional work environment.
  • Interpersonal skills that portray a welcoming atmosphere, friendly disposition, and helpful nature.
  • Work cohesively in a team environment as well as work autonomously where required.
  • Provide positive, enthusiastic support to staff, students, and parents in a Catholic school environment.
  • Experience using Google suite of applications preferred.
  • Experience providing administrative services in a school environment is preferred.
     

Vermilion Catholic enrolls students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Vermilion Catholic serves families throughout Vermilion Parish and Acadiana and is the only Pre-K through 12th Catholic School in the lower Acadiana region.
