Vermilion Catholic Employment Opportunities

Vermilion Catholic, a legacy of Mount Carmel which serves students in grades PreK-12, is looking for a Science teacher for Middle and Upper School students.  Teacher certification (Chemistry and General Science) and experience required. Compensation would be determined according to education, experience, and the number of sections that would be required. Part or full-time options may be available beginning January 2026 and/or August 2026.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Flexibility, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and good time management are essential.
  • Well-developed communication skills (phone, email, written correspondence).
  • Use discretion and tact as required in a professional work environment.
  • Interpersonal skills that portray a welcoming atmosphere, friendly disposition, and helpful nature.
  • Work cohesively in a team environment as well as work autonomously where required.
  • Provide positive, enthusiastic support to staff, students, and parents in a Catholic school environment.
  • Experience using Google suite of applications preferred.
  • Experience providing administrative services in a school environment is preferred.
     

Vermilion Catholic enrolls students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Vermilion Catholic serves families throughout Vermilion Parish and Acadiana and is the only Pre-K through 12th Catholic School in the lower Acadiana region.
